Distinguished Service Award
The recipient of the Seattle Photographic Society Distinguished Service Award should meet the majority of the following criteria -
· Has had continuous membership in SPS for a minimum of 10 years.
· Has gone beyond the call of duty for the welfare of SPS.
· Has been an officer (elected or appointed) or other position of responsibility.
· Has been a commentator several times (in any or all Divisions.)
· Has been a judge at least 10 times (in all Divisions.)
· Has conducted instructional workshops.
· Has written Articles for the Cable Releases.
The Distinguished Service Award is rarely awarded twice to the same member.
The main idea behind the Distinguished Service Award is that the individual be of help and participates regularly in the activities of SPS in ways other than just entering images.
